Bo Sullivan first began his long career at WHYN radio in 1990 as a sports talk show producer. Bo then moved on to become the host of that sports talk show. In 1993, Bo became the sports anchor and co-host for the WHYN morning show. After a few hiatuses, both planned and unplanned, Bo came back to stay in 1996 as the morning show sports anchor, producer, and co-host.
Born and raised in Westfield, he's now raising his own family there. He lives with his wife Kris and daughters Leighanne and Shannon. When Bo was growing up, his father Richard Sullivan was superintendent of schools in two local communities. Politics runs in the family. Brother Brian is a Westfield city councilor and brother Rick is the city's seven term mayor. Besides transporting his children to various activities including CCD and swimming lessons, he coaches both daughters in three different sports. He also works as a part-time political consultant. In his scarce spare time, Bo likes to golf and is a frequent visitor to the Connecticut casinos.
What does Bo like most about his position at WHYN? For one, he's a big fan of waking at 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. He also enjoys meeting the many loyal listeners to the show. His lifelong ambition is to open a sports bar and play Texas Hold 'em every day of his life.
HERE ARE SOME OF YOUR THOUGHTS ON SOME TOPICS WE'VE DISCUSSED......
If you purchase a health plan through the Marketplace instead of accepting health coverage offered by your employer, then you may lose the employer contribution (if any) to the employer-offered coverage. Also, this employer contribution as well as your contribution to employer-offered coverage is often excluded from income for Federal and State income tax purposes. Your payments for coverage through the Marketplace are made on an after tax basis.
If I understand this correctly:
Basically this means that your employer may not contribute to your health care, and you will no longer receive a deduction on taxes for health insurance that your employer provides if you buy from the Marketplace. You will be taxed first on your whole pay check instead of being taxed after deductions.
You can ask The Congressman (Richie Rubberstamp as I refer to him) about this!
AND GEORGE WRITES;
Brad my employer has informed me that Anthem Blue Cross has asked for a 17% increase for fiscal year 2014
Thanks George from Granby, Mass.
HERE'S A THOUGHT ON PENCILS -- THAT DID NOT GET CALLED IN (LOL)

CATHERINE STRAIGHTENS OUT A ROCK AND ROLL LEGEND....
Thanks for the interview this morning! I had a great time!
Here’s the wallet story, as I understand it:
Apparently, there wasn’t enough room on the plane so the group tossed a coin. One of Buddy Holly’s band members, Tommy Allsup, lost and wasn’t able to make the plane trip with the rest of the band. He gave his wallet to Richie Valens so he could have his ID to pick up his mail. The rest is history.
Talk soon, Catherine
AND....A 9/11 ANNIVERSARY REMEMBRANCE;
I remember where I was on 9/11/01, and the strong desire to go home, be with family, and try to process the devastation, the carnage, and the realization that my country was under attack. And to this day I am in awe of the heroism of everyday people and first responders.
I consider today my generation’s Memorial Day.
THANKS TO ALL! AND KEEP THE CARDS AND LETTERS COMIN' IN!
