Bo Sullivan first began his long career at WHYN radio in 1990 as a sports talk show producer. Bo then moved on to become the host of that sports talk show. In 1993, Bo became the sports anchor and co-host for the WHYN morning show. After a few hiatuses, both planned and unplanned, Bo came back to stay in 1996 as the morning show sports anchor, producer, and co-host.
Born and raised in Westfield, he's now raising his own family there. He lives with his wife Kris and daughters Leighanne and Shannon. When Bo was growing up, his father Richard Sullivan was superintendent of schools in two local communities. Politics runs in the family. Brother Brian is a Westfield city councilor and brother Rick is the city's seven term mayor. Besides transporting his children to various activities including CCD and swimming lessons, he coaches both daughters in three different sports. He also works as a part-time political consultant. In his scarce spare time, Bo likes to golf and is a frequent visitor to the Connecticut casinos.
What does Bo like most about his position at WHYN? For one, he's a big fan of waking at 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. He also enjoys meeting the many loyal listeners to the show. His lifelong ambition is to open a sports bar and play Texas Hold 'em every day of his life.
Yes, let’s by all means test security and emergency performance here at Logan airport with a fire drill…in fact, let’s simulate with great reality by actually burning a plane!
Let’s do it Tuesday.
I’m sure there was nothing terribly disconcerting about driving past the airport by which the 911 jihadist suicide pilots made their entrance to this country, and where there have been a succession of security breaches and lapses, and seeing a plane engulfed in flames.
How this is possible, to have made it through the ranks and the tissues of management at Massport, without anyone catching the outrageous lapse of sense, is a glittering and mystifying bit of curiosity!
The governor was so affected by this, that he mustered his senses long enough to state, with great emphasis, that this was “dumb.” And added a little chuckle.
How to give someone from outside of New England directions to the airport ? Just head down the pike, until you see the burning plane….then …. (ugh)!
And now for something completely different…evidently you’ve been going to slowly on the Mass pike, and those on high at Beacon Hill, have it in their minds that it’s time to raise the speed limit!
This is to presume that anyone has driven or paid attention to the speed limit since the day of the model T.
If any vehicle on the mass pike is actually travelling the speed limit, it’s more than likely due to a mechanical malfunction.
However, the move afoot is to enable you to step it up without worry!
I think – at the root of this—is a plan to fix social security short falls, by insuring that you will never be applying for it!
The proposed increase brings the speed limit up from 65 to 70 miles per hour.
Or, as it is known by Tim Murray, second gear…..
