Bo Sullivan first began his long career at WHYN radio in 1990 as a sports talk show producer. Bo then moved on to become the host of that sports talk show. In 1993, Bo became the sports anchor and co-host for the WHYN morning show. After a few hiatuses, both planned and unplanned, Bo came back to stay in 1996 as the morning show sports anchor, producer, and co-host.
Born and raised in Westfield, he's now raising his own family there. He lives with his wife Kris and daughters Leighanne and Shannon. When Bo was growing up, his father Richard Sullivan was superintendent of schools in two local communities. Politics runs in the family. Brother Brian is a Westfield city councilor and brother Rick is the city's seven term mayor. Besides transporting his children to various activities including CCD and swimming lessons, he coaches both daughters in three different sports. He also works as a part-time political consultant. In his scarce spare time, Bo likes to golf and is a frequent visitor to the Connecticut casinos.
What does Bo like most about his position at WHYN? For one, he's a big fan of waking at 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. He also enjoys meeting the many loyal listeners to the show. His lifelong ambition is to open a sports bar and play Texas Hold 'em every day of his life.
Well, now the U.S. looks like it can back away from some kind of action in Syria…whew…but now the situation is in the hands of……Russia, and Putin????????
What a mess!
And who would have thought that the individual who would emerge looking dominant in this situation would be Putin?
Of course finding out that we don’t have to go to war is fine, until you realize that the matter is in the Russian president’s hands….
This is kind of like, “don’t worry, your daughter’s slumber party will have a chaperone…it’s Jack the Ripper.”
The president has painted himself into a corner, on top of having to make the case to the American people that we need to do exactly what he campaigned against, claiming It was always the wrong choice, he has contradicted himself, by red-lining the use of chemical weapons, and then claiming that he did not.
The audio is out there….so, that dog don’t hunt.
It’s very simple…in the slightly altered words of Mario Puzo, he is simply not a wartime president.
I appreciate that he believes that it is not necessary, or enlightened, to be one…but now he is finding out first hand that whether you wish to be one or not, the prevailing winds sometimes will force the issue.
This entire mess has simply underscored just how murky and amateurish the administration’s foreign policy is.
The president is a “world consensus” kind of guy. Firmly relying on world consensus as the way to proceed on any international problem, or crisis.
So what we have here is another rude awakening (in a series of them) for this White House.
This time, the president has found himself alone at the dance.
Worse, he had to peddle this cause to the house and senate! Well, within the senate there was some support from the far left voices….but little else.
The appearance in the house? Dead on arrival.
I am sure the president was dreading the vote that would have had to have been taken.
There is NO APPETITE for this anywhere with the American people, and after all, though the president does not have reelection to worry about……congress does!
And those who would throw in with this action, would receive, from their constituents, a howling rebuke that would wake the dead.
The resounding rejection the vote would present would render him a three and a half year presidential capon.
How fortunate that Putin has volunteered to straighten everything out, and broker a deal.
Assad is a thug and a sociopath.
Well, that might give him a common ground with Putin.
Although neither one of them is to be trusted anymore than a lamb could trust a meat packing plant.
