Bo Sullivan first began his long career at WHYN radio in 1990 as a sports talk show producer. Bo then moved on to become the host of that sports talk show. In 1993, Bo became the sports anchor and co-host for the WHYN morning show. After a few hiatuses, both planned and unplanned, Bo came back to stay in 1996 as the morning show sports anchor, producer, and co-host.
Born and raised in Westfield, he's now raising his own family there. He lives with his wife Kris and daughters Leighanne and Shannon. When Bo was growing up, his father Richard Sullivan was superintendent of schools in two local communities. Politics runs in the family. Brother Brian is a Westfield city councilor and brother Rick is the city's seven term mayor. Besides transporting his children to various activities including CCD and swimming lessons, he coaches both daughters in three different sports. He also works as a part-time political consultant. In his scarce spare time, Bo likes to golf and is a frequent visitor to the Connecticut casinos.
What does Bo like most about his position at WHYN? For one, he's a big fan of waking at 3:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. He also enjoys meeting the many loyal listeners to the show. His lifelong ambition is to open a sports bar and play Texas Hold 'em every day of his life.
…..AND EVERYTHING OLD IS NEW AGAIN!
For years, I listened to the voices endlessly excoriating the hapless president of the United States, George W Bush!
A bumptious arrogant warmonger, who is waging an unnecessary war in the middle east, as he is just too unenlightened and ham handed at the art of diplomacy!
How dare he commit the U.S. A. unilaterally to this madness in Iraq and Afghanistan!
Now may of these same voices are supporting the president, and wringing their hands at those in the house and senate who are not on board with…..
…the United States of America committing itself unilaterally to a military action of some sort in the Middle East!!!!!!!
The incumbent president ran on this virtually as a platform!
Joe Biden’s strident rhetoric about going to war over chemical weapons is still hanging in the ozone!
Retribution? Some sort of karma?
Well, that is contingent on your personal belief system, I suppose…..but I would simply characterize it as a “teachable moment!” (smirk)
I’m sure that none of this seems quite fair to the president.
Suddenly an actual situation, that does not conform to the “narrative” presents itself, demanding immediate attention and management..and this will not be mollified by the kind of smooth talk and charm that works wonders in the faculty lounge.
This is the tough stuff that a barbarous and Neanderthal part of the world is bent on continuing.
It forces a quick banquet for the president, in the Whitehouse dining room…..a buffet of the president’s words, that must be eaten.
I’m sure he wishes he could figuratively push rewind and take back his admonition to Assad about his use real or considered of chemical weapons.
Well, Assad has called Osama’s bluff, and now the president’s credibility is on the line.
Along with the image of this country.
Or “paper tiger.”
I suspect we will find out…and VERY soon!
