Second Racist Act At Southwick Schools Reported

The Southwick-Tolland-Granville Regional School District is investigating another racially motivated incident in its schools.

Racist graffiti was reported in a school bathroom, but no further details were released.

This comes just days after the announcement that six students will face criminal charges in juvenile court for a racial incident that included an online "slave auction" that featured Black students.

School officials say the incident is under investigation, but civil rights leaders say that is not enough.

Greater Springfield NAACP President Reverend Talbert Swan says the root of the problem must be dealt with, and not merely addressing individual incidents.
