Mass Mask Mandate In Schools Ending February 28th

The mask mandate for public schools in Massachusetts will end on February 28th. Governor Charlie Baker says the decision is based on the advice of public health experts. He says it's time to give kids a sense of normalcy. Individual school districts can have their own mask requirements.

Governor Baker says the state is making great progress in the overall fight against the coronavirus. He says the state is in a much better place than it was several months ago.

Despite the Governor ending the mask mandate in schools, local communities are free to install their own masking requirements if need be.
