More details are emerging about the alleged plot that led to the shooting of former Red Sox slugger David Ortiz.
Prosecutors in the Dominican Republic say a drug trafficker offered 30-thousand-dollars for a hit on Ortiz's cousin, Sixto David Fernandez.
He was sitting with Ortiz at a bar last month when a suspect apparently shot the former ballplayer by mistake.
Ortiz remains hospitalized in Boston as he continues to recover from internal injuries.
