Western Massachusetts residents will have some local races to decide in today's general election.
In the 2nd Congressional District, which covers parts of Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties, Democrat Jim McGovern looks to keep his seat against Republican challenger Tracy Lovvorn.
In the Worcester, Hampden, Hampshire and Middlesex District, it's incumbent Democrat Anne Gobi versus Republican Steven Hall.
There are state representative races in the first, second, third and twelfth Hampden districts, one in Franklin and one in Hampshire.
In the race for a local district seat on the Governor's Council, incumbent Democrat Mary Hurley faces independent candidate Mike Franco.
Meantime, in Connecticut the Governor's Race is the top of the ticket in that state.
According to the latest polling the race is too close to call.
