A new labor contract is being approved by Springfield City Council.
The council members said "yes" to a four-year deal with the union representing Public Works, Parks and Procurement department supervisors.
It includes a two-percent annual pay raise.
The council also approved several budget transfers to purchase ten new police cruisers to replace older ones as well as the use of money to cover a deficit in the city's snow removal budget from this past winter.
